01 - THE SITUATION
The Challenge
When Jennifer and I first met in early 2026, she was a brand-new solo startup: newly licensed as one of Colorado’s first Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals and already working as a Certified Divorce Coach®, but with almost nothing in place to launch on.

She was stuck with an offshore-built website she could not access, edit, or properly connect to Google. The design was off-brand, the claims did not reflect her values, and the whole thing failed to show who she actually was. She had no business social presence anywhere, and she was understandably intimidated by both the technical set-up and the idea of creating content.

On top of all of that, she was introducing a legal category the public did not yet understand. “What is an LLP?” was a real question for both potential clients and referral partners, and every marketing claim had to hold up under Colorado’s advertising and scope-of-practice rules. Her certification in divorce coaching set her apart from her competition but had no current positioning — and the new LLP designation opened the door to offer her clients more than just legal support.

Her branding was not just off-kilter, it was non-existent, and she did not feel authentically connected to any of the marketing tactics vendors had begun for her. She lacked strategy, planning, and an actionable roadmap aligned to her business features, goals, and vision. In short, this was not a firm that needed polishing. It needed to be built and launched from the ground up, fast, without burying a solo owner in overwhelm.
FRACTIONAL CMO INSIGHT
What this really was:
This was not a marketing refresh. It was a ground-up business re-launch on a 90-day clock. Jennifer had a new name, a brand-new and still-unfamiliar legal category, services that set her apart but needed defining, and a website she could not even access. My job as her marketing leader was to stand up an entire practice (name, brand, website, digital infrastructure, social presence, and PR) fast enough to build real momentum, but without overwhelming an owner already wearing every hat who had trusted vendors only to be disappointed by the outcomes.
02 - THE WORK
What I delivered in under 90 days
I stepped in as a full-service Fractional CMO to guide, design, lead, and implement the entire launch. Rather than hand Jennifer a plan and walk away, I built the marketing foundation, framed the marketing systems, and trained her to run them herself.

I started with brand positioning: a deep discovery to capture her voice and values, and clear unique value propositions built on a rare combination of Licensed Legal Paraprofessional authority and Certified Divorce Coach® support, at a more accessible price point than most traditional attorneys. From there I built a new firm brand identity with a full brand guidelines portfolio she can hand to any vendor for consistent, professional collateral.

At the same time I built the digital infrastructure: a new, on-brand website she actually controls, replacing the inaccessible offshore site; optimized Google Business, Bing, and Yelp profiles; and GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console, all set up and explained. Because Jennifer practices as an LLP and not an attorney, every piece of messaging was written to comply with Colorado Supreme Court advertising and scope-of-practice rules — compelling and defensible.

Underneath it all sat a 40-page, fully customized marketing program: mission and positioning, competitive landscape, client and referral personas, business development strategy, budget, channels, tools, and the four P’s. I launched her social presence across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, and delivered a 2-hour Social Media Blueprint Session so she left the engagement empowered and trained to run operations on her own.
STRATEGY
Custom marketing and business development plan, 40-page program foundation, SMART goals across brand and referrals.
BRAND
New firm identity, developed a refined logo suite with a full brand guidelines portfolio ready for her to use with any vendor and stay on brand.
WEBSITE & SEO
New owner-controlled website with new color palette and logo. GA4 analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console setup with training.
SOCIAL MEDIA & GBP LISTING
Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram business pages plus a 2-hour Social Media Blueprint Session. Google Business Profile created and optimized
PRESS RELEASE
National launch PR announcing one of Colorado’s first LLP family law firms with her speciality in Gray Divorces and Certified Divorce Coach® services.
COMPLIANCE
LLP title and scope-of-practice messaging aligned with Colorado Supreme Court advertising rules. Divorce Coach designation visibility.
MARKETING SYSTEMS
Content repository, key pillar category calendar with a production editorial calendar, branded Canva asset folder, and analytics training. Custom-tailored a marketing operating system she still runs today.
FRACTIONAL CMO INSIGHT
Why I sequenced it this way:
I led with brand positioning and compliance before a single post went out. As one of Colorado’s first Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals, Jennifer was marketing a category the public did not yet understand, and every claim had to hold up under Colorado Supreme Court advertising rules. Then came aligning her legal services with her divorce coaching services so they complemented rather than negated one another. People needed to recognize the value of her being both a legal professional and a sympathetic guide through a divorce. Getting the brand message and compliance right first for both services meant everything downstream (website, PR, GBP, and social) could move quickly and safely. I also built her capability through my Social Media Blueprint Session (my own Framework social media workshop), so the systems would keep running long after the engagement ended.

Early baseline traction in views, reach, and profile visits after a light, late start in June 2026. Jennifer is posting regularly — and loving it. All insights show growth.
Inbound calls
Up from 1–2 per month to 3–4 per week in a highly competitive market. Leads generated from GBP, website discovery, and AI search. MQLs of desired client base reflecting scalable, sustainable growth as a solo entreprenuer.
Beyond the numbers, the change was personal. Jennifer went from avoiding social media entirely to feeling clear and confident about her brand, her message, and exactly who she serves — with a website that finally feels like her, relates to her potential client, and systems she can run without a full-time marketing team.
FRACTIONAL CMO INSIGHT
Why it worked:
The launch worked because every channel pointed at the same person — her gray divorce ideal client — at the same time. The press release, her company page, her personal LinkedIn, and the new website all carried one aligned message, which is why a brand-new firm pulled more than 60,000 impressions in its first 90 days and started surfacing in both Google and AI search. Alignment is what turns a cold start into visible traction that fast.

Tell us about your practice and your role
Jennifer Berryhill with Berryhill Family Law — A Licensed Legal Paraprofessional Firm. I am a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional practicing in Colorado in less complex family law cases. Additionally, I am a Certified Divorce Coach® helping folks when they are facing divorce, deciding whether to file or not, and throughout various phases of the divorce process including financial disclosure preparation/organization, mediation prep, hearing prep, and general well-being. Later in July I will be a certified Mediator and will be offering cooperative divorce solutions for folks seeking a mediated divorce. My practice is focused on later-in-life divorce, also known as “Gray Divorce.” My days typically include a blend of doing LLP work, coaching, and day-to-day office management and business development.
What were the biggest challenges or frustrations with your marketing?
I was having issues getting my Google Business Profile live, my social media business pages set up, and just overall marketing development and planning. I really didn’t know where to start and felt very overwhelmed and lost. My resistance was strong when it came to social media posting and the concepts of marketing were a bit out of my purview. I not only needed hands-on support, but a better understanding of what I needed and why.
Had you tried other marketing solutions before? What was missing?
I had some tools provided through the Legal Entrepreneurs for Justice program, which are/were great! I just had a hard time implementing it and wanted to have a better understanding about all the aspects of marketing. I kept putting things off due to resistance and just not understanding the ins-and-outs of a full marketing plan.
What surprised you most about the process?
How much she really did for me in a short amount of time. Everything seemed effortless for her, and any time we hit any kind of snag or bump in the road she tackled it with grace and efficiency.
What has changed in your business since we started?
I am getting a lot of calls from folks finding me by “google searching” and also with AI, which I feel is a very quick turnaround for her marketing efforts. I went from 1–2 calls a month to now at least 3–4 a week.
Was there a turning point or highlight?
Julie offered me a webinar on social media marketing which was a game changer. I’m just so thankful she was able to get things working for me on Google and in my social media platforms.
Where were you in your business when we started working together?
I was in the process of rebranding and relaunching my solo practice. At the time we started, I only had a few foundational aspects set up. I was doing mostly contract paralegal work for another attorney as I focused separately on getting my business systems in place, developing my “ideal client” and branding. I needed a lot of help with my marketing plan. That’s when Julie brought me in as a case study and she immediately went to work on all of my branding materials (logo, graphics etc) and set up my Google Business Profile, which was an immensely helpful part of what I needed help with.
What was the most frustrating part, and how did it affect you personally?
I lost a lot of sleep and just felt exhausted by the overwhelm. So many things on my to-do list, in combination with my frustration with my Google Business Profile and other important factors of marketing, kept me spinning my wheels, losing valuable time and much needed peace of mind.
From your perspective, what did Fisher Marketing actually do for you?
Julie got started immediately and focused on the logo/graphics first. The process was fun and smooth and we landed on colors, fonts etc rather quickly in my opinion. She then went to work on my Google Business Profile and got it live very quickly, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. She walked me through how it works and the different features and ideas for using it to further my marketing/promotional efforts. She then got my LinkedIn profile dialed in, set up my Facebook Page, and was handling a few of my initial content posts so I could start to get a sense of how to make content and post it (thereby decreasing my resistance!). She offered valuable feedback about my website, offered tweaks and changes, and the Google Analytics and favicon. The marketing plan she helped develop was thorough, on point, very user friendly (simple but robust) and walked me through everything. Weekly meetings were great so we could stay on track and she could keep me updated. Julie is very talented, smart, fun and funny, and just a great human that is great to work with!
What is it like to work with Julie day to day?
Julie was very fast to respond when I needed help or had a question. I liked having her as my accountability partner to get me through my social media resistance. Her Social Media planning guide is worth a lot! So many great ideas, plus a schedule, and a way to keep everything saved in a way that is easy to use and easy to find again, and rinse-and-repeat. I felt like Julie really “heard me” and then really “knew me,” and she used all of that to help dial down my ideal client and how to speak to them and provide a unique value proposition that made sense. Julie was great with managing expectations and definitely under promised and over delivered!
Beyond the numbers, how has this work impacted you personally?
My social media confidence is at an all-time high thanks to the Marketing Plan and Social Media and Blog Calendar tools she built for Berryhill Family Law. I feel like I know which direction I am going because we spent so much time dialing in my content around my ideal client base. I have a ways to go but the tools Julie provided are hugely valuable and easy to use. I am excited to see how much my business has blossomed now that all my branding and content are aligned.
What would you tell another business owner in the position you were in?
Branding is King! Julie’s focus on marketing is cutting edge. She has a keen eye and insight about what a business needs for its branding. She knows the algorithms for the different platforms and knows how to utilize them for the highest reach and visibility. I would say “if you are stuck in your marketing and branding efforts, you need to call Julie!!!”
Anything else you would like to share about working with Fisher Marketing Services?
Without Julie’s help, I really don’t think my phone would be ringing (or that people would be booking appointments through my website) nearly as much and as fast as I could have ever hoped!
