The leadership behind the work

Connect your marketing
to the business ahead.

A fractional CMO provides senior marketing leadership on a contract basis. I look across the whole picture: your goals, positioning, client journey, people, vendors, and budget.

If you are getting inquiries that do not fit, investing without a clear view of performance, or managing several vendors without a shared direction, the next step is to understand what is happening before adding more activity.

We start with your business and agree on the support you need. You can leave with a roadmap, build a stronger foundation, or continue with ongoing marketing leadership.

A staged path, built around your needs

Start with clarity.
Build from there.

01 / The Growth Blueprint

Know where you stand.
Decide what comes next.

A three-week, one-to-one assessment that turns your business goals and current marketing into a prioritized roadmap.

We examine your positioning, how clients find you, the activity already in place, and the resources available to move forward. Together, we identify gaps, risks, and opportunities and decide which priorities deserve attention first.

Your Blueprint includes insights from the questionnaire and workshop, a summary of your key objectives, recommendations for brand and marketing activity, and options for the next stage.

What you leave with

A clear, actionable roadmap you can implement yourself, share with your team, or use as the basis for further work together.

02 / Establishing your foundation

Give the strategy
something to stand on.

Build on what is working and address the gaps that prevent your marketing from moving together.

This is where the Blueprint becomes a connected marketing foundation. I can implement directly, work with your agencies, or guide your team through what needs to be done. The scope is based on your business, not a standard list of tactics.

A custom marketing plan

Connect your marketing goals to business and revenue priorities, with a clear view of the audience, channels, budget, and measures that will guide your work.

Audience & positioning

Define the clients you want, the needs you address, and why your business should be considered. Give your brand and messaging a consistent direction.

Content & quarterly priorities

Establish useful content themes and a marketing calendar so your activity reflects your expertise, audience questions, and the priorities of the business.

The client journey

Examine how people discover you, inquire, and become clients. Review referral and lead sources and identify gaps in the path from interest to engagement.

People & responsibilities

Clarify the roles of your team, agencies, and outside specialists. Establish responsibilities and a shared understanding of the plan and priorities.

AI, automation & measurement

Identify where AI-assisted content, inquiry follow-up, CRM handoffs, and reporting can support the plan. Define useful measures, human review, and team responsibilities before implementation.

What changes for your business

Your marketing has a clearer direction, the essential pieces work together, and your people have a foundation they can use to reach the clients you want.

$9,000–$18,000 Three months on average

The investment depends on firm size and the scope of the build. Any extension is discussed and agreed before additional work begins.

03 / Implementing your growth roadmap

Keep the work aligned.
Keep moving forward.

Once the foundation is in place, agree on the level of ongoing support your business needs.

You may need help delivering a defined scope, a strategic leader to guide shifting priorities, or coaching that helps your team own more of the work. We choose the arrangement around your goals, resources, and internal capacity.

Before we begin

A few practical
questions.

Do I have to start with the Growth Blueprint?

It is the most common starting point, but it is not required. If you need a focused second opinion or education, a marketing strategy session may be a better fit. If you need to understand gaps across your marketing, the Blueprint offers a broader assessment.

Explore marketing strategy →
What is included in the fractional CMO fee?

The plan, brand guidelines, content strategy, and calendars developed within the agreed scope are covered by the fee. Outside services such as website development, advertising, or print placement can involve separate costs, which are discussed upfront.

Are ongoing retainers month to month?

Ongoing fractional CMO retainers are month-to-month. The Blueprint and Foundation phases have defined scopes and timelines. Cancellation terms and any project extension are covered in your agreement.
